“Health For All” implies both a revolution and decentralization. Modern nursing is a dynamic, therapeutic and educative process in meeting the health needs of the individuals, family and community. Since nurses provide a large part of health care, their training should equip them with professional expertise. Our college believes that it has a responsibility in this aspect so that nurses can be trained to keep pace with latest professional and technological developments and use these for providing nursing care services.
This Institution is named after the most revered late Smt. Sumitra Vanti. The Institute campus is located at Heart of Amritsar City, Mudhal, Near Verka. As per wish of Late Smt. Sumitra Vanti, the New Gobind Public Welfare Society has been established in 1998, then after New Gobind School of Nursing and S. V. Memorial College of Nursing has been started.
Our college acquires ample facilities including 20 acres premises including a well-maintained hostel. The college provides best infrastructure to its students including well-equipped laboratories and latest furniture.
With the advancement in Technology and Science, it becomes imperative to impart training to the students in a more scientific way in the paramedical sphere, so that mankind can be served in a better way. This institute will provide a quality education to students in paramedical sciences, which will ultimately help in building the students and the nation as a whole. After completing their education, the students are provided the internship in Guru Nanak Dev Hospital and Fortis Escorts Hospital, Amritsar. This gives our students an edge over the others.

NEW GOBIND PUBLIC WELFARE SOCIETY was established in the year 1998. Under this society, NEW GOBIND SCHOOL OF NURSING for ANM & GNM and S.V.MEMORIAL COLLEGE OF NURSING for M.Sc (N), B.Sc (N) and Post Basic B.Sc (N) have established. The society is also running Educational Institution (Mohan Lal Memorial Institute of Education) for B.Ed. and ETT. The college is situated in Mudhal near Verka Milk Plant which is on the Amritsar- Jammu highway. Surrounded with lush green gardens, stands the magnificent expanse of educational institute. It is spread over an area of 6 acres; the college started functioning in the year 1998.At present both School and College of Nursing running named under S.V.MEMORIAL COLLEGE OF NURSING.
