ADMISSION PROCESS

DURATION: Three Years Diploma Programme including Internship

TOTAL NO. OF SEATS: 60 Seats.

ADMISSION CRITERIA:

1. Minimum education eligibility criteria for admission to GNM,

• 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually from any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from state open school recognized by state Government and National Institute of open school (NIOS) Recognized by central government. However Science is preferable.
• 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school Recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
• 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational Stream-Health care Science from a Recognized CBSE Board/State/Centre.
• Registered ANM with pass mark.

2. Admission of students shall be once in a year.
3. Students shall be Medically Fit.
4. Minimum age for admission will be 17 years (as on 31^st December of that year) The upper age limit is 35 years for ANM/for LHV, there is no age bar.

 ADMISSION / SELECTION COMMITTEE:

Selection candidates shall be done by the college selection committee which is composed of  Principal, Vice-Principal, Senior Tutor and Nursing superintendent.

DURATION: 2 YEARS

TOTAL NO.OF SEATS: 40

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION:

1. Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and Registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council.
2. Candidates shall be medically fit
3. Admission of students shall be once in a year.

ENTRANCE/SELECTION TEST: Selection of the candidates should be based on the merit of the entrance examination held by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot.

COURSE: B.SC. (NURSING) 

DURATION : Four Years Degree Programme including Internship

DISTRIBUTION OF SEATS & RESERVATION:

Total No. of seats – 50 | Govt. Quota – 25 | Management Quota – 17 | NRI Quota- 8

NOTE: 

1. Quota seats will be filled up as per Govt. Instructions.
2. Management Quota seats will be filled up by the committee consisting of Principal and two members from BFUHS & Punjab. Govt.
3. Unfilled N.R.I, seats will be shifted to Management Quota.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION 

1. The Minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st Dec.of admission.
2. The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of, Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (1 years course) or Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2), pre-degree Examination(10+2) or An equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized board or university with science (Physics,Chemistry,Biology) and English with minimum of 50% aggregate marks (PCBE)
3. Candidate shall be Medically Fit.

ENTRANCE / SELECTION TEST:

Selection of the candidate should be based on the merit of the entrance examination (PPMET)-Punjab Para Medical Entrance Examination held by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot.

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FOR NRI QUOTA:

The prescribed application form appended in the prospectus must be completed in Candidate’s own handwriting and submitted to Principal College of Nursing.

1. Eligibility Certificate attainable from Baba Farid University of Health Sciences Faridkot is Compulsory.
2. One Copy of recent passport photograph duly signed and attested.
3. Three unattested photographs (same size).
4. Attested copies of Certificate and Mark Sheet.
5. Merit Certificate.
6. Health Certificate from Civil Surgeon/Asstt. Civil Surgeon/S.M.O.
7. Two self addressed envelopes bearing postal stamps.

DURATION: 2 YEARS POST GRADUATE PROGRAMME.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA/ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

1. The candidate should be a registered Nurse and registered Midwife or equivalent with any state nursing registration council.
2. The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of B.sc Nursing / Post Basic B.sc Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
3. The candidate should have undergone in B.sc Nursing / Post Basic B.sc Nursing in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
4. Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.sc Nursing.
5. Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.sc Nursing.
6. Candidate shall be medically fit.

7.5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates may be given.

ENTERANCE / SELECTION TEST:

Selection of candidates should be based on the merit of the Enterance Examination (PMNET )held by BABA FARID UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES, Faridkot.
